Managing and reviewing employee time-off requests is a crucial administrative task. Follow this step-by-step guide to generate and review a report of pending Planned Time Off (PTO).
The Pending request worksheet module on the Today page allows a quick review of pending time off requests but lacks the context of the schedule. Best practice is to run a report.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Navigate to Reports > Published Schedule > Published Event Summary > Enterprise Model / Supervisor tree / Custom user group.
In the Options menu specify the desired Activity and date range.
Under Report type selection, choose Show detail events with no summary.
Note: This event details summary option is exclusively available if your selected date range is fewer than 90 days.Set Review status criteria: options include pending, approved, or denied events.
Apply event type filters: Select all off-site events or isolate a specific PTO event type.
Alternatively, you can navigate to Plan > All things time off > Time off reports where the Event type filters are preselected.Generate the Report: Click Apply options to run the report.
In the report, select the tab for Show event details to view a complete list of all pending PTO requests within your defined parameters.
From this report you can approve, deny, return to pending any existing PTO requests.
