Creating schedules for next week for new hires

Assumptions

  • There is a published schedule for next week for existing employees.
  • New hires must be imported or created in the system.

Step-by-step

  1. Add a new child activity to the enterprise model called New hires or something similar – no collection points needed.
    Settings > Enterprise model > Activity hub > Subordinate or child activities > New child activity.
  2. For each New hire agent:
    •  assign ONLY the “new hire” activity (Personal profile > Activities > Step 2: Activities assignments).
    • assign a schedule template (Personal profile > Scheduling > Step 3: Scheduling setup > Schedule templates tab).
  3. Create staffing requirements working forecast for New hires – don’t have to publish it.
  4. Create a working schedule just for the New hires activity.
  5. Attach the working forecast for New hires (if not published).
  6. Generate schedules – it will only generate for New hires.
  7. Publish the schedule – it will only publish for New hires.
  8. Remove New hires activity from profiles of new hires and add their appropriate activities.
  9. Remove New hires from the Enterprise Model.
